TVS Apache RTX wins 2026 Indian Motorcycle of The Year award

The most coveted motorcycle award in the country, the Indian Motorcycle Of The Year (IMOTY), was recently announced in Delhi, and it was the TVS Apache RTX that grabbed the IMOTY award for 2026. Kicked off in 2007, IMOTY jury consists of India's finest automotive journalists, including evo India’s editorial director Sirish Chandran and assistant editor (bikes), Karan Ramgopal. These awards have been backed by JK Tyre ever since their inception, and Deloitte was the knowledge partner for the IMOTY awards.

It was the TVS Apache RTX that won the coveted IMOTY award this year, with the motorcycle nosing ahead of the KTM 390 Adventure and the electric Ultraviolette X47, which finished in second and third place, respectively. The other motorcycles which were the finalists for 2026 IMOTY award included the Honda CB125 Hornet, the Royal Enfield Classic 650, the Yamaha XSR 155 and the KTM Enduro R.

In addition to the members from evo India, the IMOTY jury consisted of Vikrant Singh and Rishabh Bhaskar from Bikewale, Kartik Ware and Manaal Mahatme from Motoring World, Aspi Bhatena and Saeed Akhtar from Bike India, Rahul Ghosh and Abhinav Jakhar from Auto Today, Kranti Sambhav and Rohit Paradkar from Overdrive, Shivank Bhatt and Karan Mathur from AutoX, Arpit Mahendra from Times Of India Auto and Abhay Verma from Turbocharged.
