Chetak Electric launches the C25 electric scooter at ₹91,399
The Chetak C25 is the newest entry-level model from the brand, offering a lightweight metal build, 2.5kWh NMC battery and six colour options

The Chetak Electric has unveiled and launched its most affordable offering for India, the C25 which has arrived at ₹91,399. It features a lighter full-metal body, a fast charging time of about 2 and a half hours for 80 per cent of battery juice. It has a claimed IDC range of 113km. Here’s a rundown of what it brings to the table.
Chetak C25 design and features
This latest and entry-level offering from Chetak Electric features their signature neo classical design. The hallmark style element being the LED headlight with a horseshoe-shaped DRL and integrated LED indicators. Its tail light introduces a clear lens design with ice cube-like LED inserts. There are six colours on offer – Mystic Yellow, Racing Red, Ocean Teal, Active Black, Opalescent Silver and Classic White. It also sports various body graphics, flanking the area below the seat.
As for features, it has IP67 water and dust protection and is also equipped with a sheet metal underbody panel for the battery. Upfront, it has a coloured LCD display which can also manage calls and music, which can be controlled from the switchgear plateau that gets gloss black surrounds. The seat cushion is 650mm and hides a 25-litre underseat storage space. It weighs 107kg, making it 22kg lighter than the 35 series Chetak.
Chetak C25 battery and performance
The C25 is packed with a 2.5kWh NMC battery and a hub mounted motor which makes a peak output of 2.9bhp and a continuous output of 2.4bhp. It has a claimed IDC range of 113km and can charge from 0 to 80 per cent in 2 hours and 25 minutes and is offered with a 750W off board charger. Front suspension duties are carried by a telescopic fork, while the rear gets a coil spring setup. The C25 gets a disc brake at the front as well.
Chetak C25 price and rivals
At a price of ₹91,399 (ex-showroom), the C25 is the brand’s newest entry-level model. It comes with Chetak’s 24-hour service guarantee and will be available for purchase on Amazon and Flipkart in addition to the authorised dealerships. It will compete with products such as the Ola S1 X, priced at ₹84,999 and Kinetic DX electric, priced at ₹1.11 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).
