Maruti Suzuki unveils a limited edition of their flagship model, the Grand Vitara to mark 10 years of Nexa dealerships
The Phantom Blaq Edition can only be had with the Alpha+ Strong Hybrid variant of the Grand Vitara.
The limited edition of Maruti Suzuki Nexa’s flagship model, the Grand Vitara is exclusively available in the Alpha+ Strong Hybrid variant. Here’s a rundown of everything that’s new in the Phantom Blaq Edition!

The flagship SUV from Nexa now comes with a Matte Black colour wrap and 17-inch alloy wheels in a darkened machine finish. The rest of the design remains unchanged.

Inside, there’s now an all-black perforated faux leather upholstery paired with champagne gold accents around the cabin. The Grand Vitara now features a Clarion premium audio sound system.
Grand Vitara Alpha+ Strong Hybrid features
The new Phantom Blaq Edition is only available in the Alpha+ Strong variant, which already gets features like an 8-way power adjustable driver seat, ventilated front seats, a panoramic roof, and ambient lighting. It also gets a 7-inch colour TFT instrument cluster, a 9-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 360-degree camera. Additionally, there’s a head-up display, wireless phone charging pad and a host of connected car functions with Suzuki Connect.
Grand Vitara Alpha+ Strong Hybrid engine and transmission
The Grand Vitara’s Strong Hybrid variant is powered by a 1.5-litre 3-cyl engine with hybrid assist. The ICE powertrain alone has a peak output of 91bhp and 122Nm. Meanwhile, the combined peak output of the petrol engine along with hybrid power stands at 113bhp and 141Nm. This variant only gets the front-wheel-drive option driven by an e-CVT ’box.
Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition expected price
Maruti Suzuki has not revealed the price of the newly unveiled limited edition. However, the Alpha+ Strong Hybrid variant is priced at ₹19.92 lakh (ex-showroom), the price of the limited edition can be expected to be slightly higher. This new edition marks and celebrates Nexa’s 10th birthday and brings some tasteful upgrades over the already feature loaded Alpha+ variant. The Nexa dealerships were introduced in 2015 with just their premium crossover, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. As the premium retail channel gained popularity, premium models like the Baleno, Ignis, Ciaz, XL6, Grand Vitara, Jimny, Fronx and Invicto followed. The brand also led the charge of enriching their retail experience with Nexa AR (augmented reality), allowing customers to visualise the exact specification of their desired Maruti Suzuki Nexa model.
