VinFast, the carmaker from Vietnam, made its debut in the Indian market last year but the company has announced that it has big plans for this year. These include a trio of new models in 2026, the launch of its GSM taxi service in India, and the expansion of its network across the country. VinFast kicked off its Indian innings with two electric offerings – the VF 6 and the VF 7, both of which have recently scored a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. However, the manufacturer has now confirmed that it will be bringing three new products to the Indian market this year. It is likely that one of the new offerings that VinFast will be bringing to India is its Limo Green MPV. The Limo Green electric MPV gets a 60.13kWh battery pack and packs in a claimed range of 450km (NEDC), which could make it a popular choice in the commercial vehicle space due to its range and the lower running costs of an EV.
VinFast is also launching its GSM taxi service in India. The GSM or Green and Smart Mobility taxi service runs only VinFast vehicles, and the Limo Green will likely be used as its vehicle of choice in the Indian market. VinFast will also be expanding its network to 75 touch points across India, and this move will definitely benefit existing customers of the VinFast brand while also attracting newer potential buyers towards their products.
