2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk launched at an introductory price of Rs 30.72 lakh
Last year, Jeep India gave the Compass a much-needed facelift, and while the Compass Trailhawk seemed to be missing from the lineup, that is not the case anymore now. The 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk has finally been launched, with an introductory price tag of Rs 30.72 lakh (ex-showroom), and apart from the same set of interior, and equipment upgrades, the 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk receives additional kit and and some design changes over the standard Compass.
2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk Design
The 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk retains the same design that we’ve all grown familiar with on the standard Compass, but it receives exclusive dual-tone paint schemes with six different colours to choose from. The bonnet displays the Trailhawk decal, while the fenders sport Trail Rated badges and the tailgate sports the Trailhawk logo. In comparison to the regular Compass, the Trailhawk is equipped with all-season tyres shod on smaller 17-inch wheels, while the alloy wheels are also exclusive to the Trailhawk. The closed-off grille has been carried over from the regular facelifted Compass, while a red towing hook at the rear will come in handy in case you do get stuck somewhere.
2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk: What’s new under the skin?
Being the off-road focused iteration of the regular Compass, the 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk rides taller thanks to the raised suspension, which also gives it 482mm of water wading ability. Meanwhile the bumpers on both ends have been tweaked slightly to offer better approach and departure angles. Speaking of the powertrain, the 2022 Trailhawk gets the familiar 2-litre turbo diesel under the hood which makes 167.6bhp and 320Nm of torque and is paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Trailhawk comes with a 20:1 low ratio, and it also gets the Selec-Terrain system with five modes, including a ‘Rock’ mode as well.

Step inside and you’ll find yourself in a familiar space — the Trailhawk carries the same interior layout as the regular Compass facelift, but the presence of Trailhawk logos and contrast red stitching on the seats, the dashboard, and even on the leather-wrapped steering wheel will remind you this isn’t a regular Compass at all. Some of the equipment the 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk receives includes rain-sensing wipers, LED cornering fog lamps, an auto-dimming IRVM, a 360-degree parking camera, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system equipped with UConnect, voice commands, navigation, and a nine-speaker sound system with a subwoofer among many others.
2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk Prices and Rivals
At an introductory price tag of Rs 30.72 lakh (ex-showroom), the 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk finds itself battling against the Volkswagen Tiguan (Rs 31.99 lakh), and the all-wheel drive variant of the Hyundai Tucson (Rs 27.47 lakh).
