2023 ICOTY and IMOTY winners announced
The most coveted vehicle awards in the country, the Indian Car Of The Year (ICOTY) and Indian Motorcycle Of The Year (IMOTY) were held in Delhi on January 12, 2023. Kicked off in 2005 and 2007, respectively, the ICOTY and IMOTY's jury is composed of 18 of India's finest motor-noters, including evo Idnia's editor Sirish Chandran and assistant-editor Aatish Mishra. These awards have been backed by JK Tyre ever since their beginning.
It is granted to cars in three categories: Car of the Year, Premium Car of the Year, and Green Car of the Year, honouring the best vehicles introduced during the course of the year.
The Kia Carens won the 2023 ICOTY award, while the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 won the 2023 IMOTY award. The Kia EV6 was named the 2023 Green Car of the Year, and Mercedes-Benz won the Premium Car Award for the EQS 580.
The Hyundai Tucson, Mahindra Scorpio-N, Maruti Suzuki Alto K 10, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Skoda Slavia, Citroen C3, and Volkswagen Virtus were among the Kia Carens' fiercest rivals in this year's ICOTY competition. These were the 10 candidates that the ICOTY judges narrowed down. The Carens ultimately carried the overall title home.
The TVS Ronin, Bajaj Pulsar N160, KTM RC 390, Yezdi Adventure, Yezdi Scrambler, Suzuki V-Strom SX, Triumph Tiger 660, Honda CB300F, and BMW G 310 RR presented stiff opposition for the 2023 IMOTY title for the Royal Enfield Hunter.
