Aprilia has launched the Tuareg 660, Tuono 660, RS 660 and RSV4 Factory in India starting from Rs 17.44 lakh

Aprilia's 2024 line-up includes Tuareg 660 which is an all-new adventure bike, while the Tuono 660, RS 660 and RSV4 Factory get new colour options

Aprilia launches its 660 range in India with the Tuareg 660 priced at Rs 18.85 lakh, the Tuono 660 priced at Rs 17.44 lakh, the RS 660 priced at Rs 17.74 lakh and the RSV4 Factory priced at Rs 31.26 lakh. The Tuareg 660 is the ADV model, the RS 660 is the mid-size full-faired sportbike, the Tuono 660 is the sport naked, while the RSV4 Factory is its flagship full-blown superbike. All the bikes feature the same twin-cylinder 659cc engine with different mapping to suit the bike’s character and requirement, except the RSV4 Factory that gets a 1099cc engine

Aprilia Tuareg 660

The Aprilia Tuareg 660 houses a twin-cylinder 659cc engine that makes 79bhp and 70Nm. It features a Kayaba suspension system, with 240 mm travel, has adjustable hydraulic rebound damping and compression, as well as spring preload. It rides on a 21-inch wheel at the front, 18-inch at the rear, and gets Brembo brakes. The APRC package (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) includes ride-by-wire, traction control, cruise control, engine brake, engine map and quickshifter. It gets four riding modes – urban, explore, off-road and individual. Available to purchase in three colours – Atreides Black, Canyon Sand and Evocative Dakar Podium. It features a 5-inch TFT cluster with music and navigation. The Aprilia Tuareg starts at Rs 18.85 lakh and goes upto Rs 19.16 lakh for the Evocative Dakar Podium variant, and rivals the Triumph Tiger 900 priced at Rs 13.95 lakh, the BMW F 850 GS priced at Rs 12.95 lakh and the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE priced at Rs 10.30 lakh.

The Aprilia Tuono 660 houses a twin-cylinder 659cc engine making 94bhp at a kerb weight of 183kg. It is available in two colours – Torque Red and Rush Grey. It features cornering ABS, a Kayaba suspension system, ride-by-wire, traction control, wheelie control, cornering ABS, engine brake control, cruise control as well as five ride modes. It sports a 5-inch TFT display. Seat height is set at 820mm and gets a kerb weight of 183kg. The Aprilia Tuono 660 is priced at Rs 17.44 Lakh, compared to Rs 13.09 lakh previously, and rivals the Suzuki Katana priced at Rs 13.66 lakh

The Aprilia RS 660 houses a twin-cylinder 659cc engine that makes 99bhp and 67Nm. It sports a Kayaba suspension system with 120mm travel and Brembo brakes. It rides on 17-inch wheels and gets a seat height of 820mm. It is available in three colours – Racing Black, Acid Gold and Tribute The APRC package (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) package includes – adjustable traction control, wheelie control, cruise control, quickshifter, engine brake, engine map and ABS with cornering functions. An optional Akrapovic full system exhaust is also available. The Aprilia RS 660 is priced at Rs 17.74 lakh, compared to Rs 13.39 lakh previously, and rivals the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R priced at Rs 11.2 lakh.

Aprilia RSV4 Factory

The Aprilia RSV4 Factory is the Italian manufacturer’s flagship motorcycle. It is powered by a liquid-cooled 1099cc V4 engine that generates a whopping 214bhp and 125Nm of peak output. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch and bi-directional quickshifter. The APRC package (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) package includes – adjustable traction control, wheelie control, cruise control, quickshifter, engine brake, engine map and ABS with cornering functions. It is only available in the Ultra Gold colour. The Aprilia RSV4 Factory is priced at Rs 31.26 lakh and rivals the Ducati Panigale V4 priced at Rs 26.49 lakh

The Aprilia RS 660, Tuono 660, Tuareg and the RSV4 will be brought to India as CBU units. The 660 range of Aprilia looks promising and aims to enter every bike category with its three different bikes, along with its full-blown flagship motorcycle, the RSV4 Factory. The CKD rivals will continue to be priced cheaper, but these bikes will give a tough competition to the CBU bikes in terms of design and performance.
