Mahindra Scorpio-N 4x4 and automatic variants launched

Prices for the automatic and 4x4 variants of the Mahindra Scorpio-N range between Rs 15.45 lakh to Rs 21.45 lakh

Mahindra sure knows how to keep its products relevant! The Indian car maker celebrated twenty years of the Scorpio and took the opportunity to launch the Scorpio-N at a very approachable Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). At the time, Mahindra had only revealed prices of the two-wheel drive and manual variants of the Scorpio-N. However, prices of the 4x4 and the automatic variants of the Scorpio-N are finally out, and the lineup begins with the Z4 Petrol, priced at Rs 15.45 lakh (ex-showroom).

Each automatic variant costs Rs 1.96 more than the manual variant, and only the diesel powertrain receives 4x4. The Z4 automatic adds electronic stability control, hill hold and descent control, and vehicle dynamic control over the manual variant in both petrol and diesel guise. Both the diesel and petrol also produce more amount of torque than the manuals, with 400Nm and 380Nm respectively. The Z6 Diesel automatic is at par with the manual in terms of the equipment, and so are the higher Z8 and Z8L variants. However, the Z8 and Z8L receive 18-inch alloy wheels over the 17-inchers of the manual variant.

Z4 Petrol: ₹15.45 lakh

Z4 Diesel: ₹15.95 lakh

Z6 Diesel: ₹16.95 lakh

Z8 Petrol: ₹18.95 lakh

Z8 Diesel: ₹19.45 lakh

Z8L Petrol: ₹20.95 lakh

Z8L Diesel: ₹21.45 lakh

Bookings for the Mahindra Scorpio-N begin from July 30 at 11:00 AM, and will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis. Customers have the option of editing their booking choice till August 15, and Mahindra plans to commence deliveries from September 26 onwards. Mahindra has planned only 20,000 units for the initial rollout stage until December 2022, so we guess you should keep yourself ready on July 30!
