Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift coming soon, pre-bookings open

Maruti Suzuki is back on track with quite a number of launches and unveils. Having launched the facelifted Baleno and WagonR recently, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift is next in line. The facelifted Ertiga will not just be limited to cosmetic tweaks, but also some changes under the skin.

What can we expect from the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift?

There will obviously be design tweaks to make the Ertiga look fresher and sharper, but one vital change will be the addition of a six-speed automatic transmission, which replaces the four-speed unit found on the current model. However, the 1.5-litre petrol engine continues to perform its duties under the hood, churning out 103bhp at 6000rpm and 138Nm of torque at 4400rpm. In its CNG iteration, torque goes down by 16Nm and stands at 122Nm at 4400rpm. The CNG iteration of the Ertiga, known as the Ertiga S-CNG will now also be offered in the top-end ZXi trim. Not much is known about any changes to the interiors or equipment, but the facelifted Ertiga retains the same 7-inch touch screen infotainment system with Suzuki Connect.

Pre-bookings have begun for the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Ertiga at an amount of Rs 11000, and we expect it to command a slight premium over the current model.
