Suzuki launched the Gixxer SF 250 in May and it was only a matter of time that the naked sibling would be launched in India. Now the Japanese giant has launched the naked version of the Gixxer SF 250 at Rs 1.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This motorcycle takes on the Yamaha FZ 25.

All about the Gixxer 250

The Gixxer 250 borrows its styling from the refreshed Gixxer 155 launched last month. The bike gets the same flat LED headlamp, split seat and the tail lamp. However, the bronze accents on the headlamp, engine and chassis along with the bash plate distinguish it from the 155cc sibling.

It gets the same 249cc, single-cylinder, SOHC engine producing 26.13bhp at 9000rpm and 22.6Nm at 7500rpm from the Gixxer 250 SF. The engine is air-cooled with an oil-cooler to keep the engine temperature in check.

The bike gets telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, aided by dual-channel ABS.

Commenting on the launch, Devashish Handa, vice president, Suzuki Motorcycle India said, “We have taken it upon ourselves to introduce our patrons to the thrill of the ride with the Gixxer Series without compromising on style and efficiency.
