Volkswagen announces ‘Corporate Edition’ variants for Polo, Ameo, Vento & Tiguan

Following the Government initiative, Volkswagen has decided to make its cars more accessible

Volkswagen is providing the option of a ‘Corporate Edition’ on select diesel variants of the Polo, Ameo, Vento & Tiguan. If you're wondering what the Corporate Editions are, they are basically the same car on sale at the moment but available to certain people/ companies at a discount. The Corporate Editions will be available in all Volkswagen showrooms across the country.

The benefits of the Corporate Edition models are as follows,

Polo Highline (diesel) - benefits upto Rs 1.16 lakhs (on ex-showroom prices).

Ameo (all diesel variants) - upto Rs 1.30 lakhs (on ex-showroom prices).

Vento Highline (diesel) - benefits of Rs 90,000 on the special price of 9.99 lakhs (on ex-showroom prices)

Tiguan Comfortline - benefits upto Rs 4.5 lakhs (on ex-showroom prices)

Additionally, there is an introduction of a new 5-year warranty and 5-year roadside assistance on all diesel Polo, Ameo, Vento & Tiguans but the Tiguan will get the same only in case of the Corporate Edition.

Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars said, “Volkswagen India welcomes the announcement by the Hon’ble Finance Minister on the reduction of the corporate tax rate. In lieu of this, we at Volkswagen, would like to pass on the benefit to our customers through our Corporate edition. We are confident that this initiative would regain customer sentiment as its comprehensive and worthwhile package for prospective customers in search of premium mobility.”After seeing the state of affairs of the automotive sector, the Government decided to make some reforms and reduced corporate tax rate from 30 percent to 22 percent, Additionally, they reduced corporate tax from 25 percent to 15 percent for new companies making fresh investments from 1st October 2019 to boost investment and FDI in the automotive sector.

Volkswagen is the second company to pass on these benefits to its customers. This week Maruti Suzuki announced that they will be providing discounts of Rs 5,000 on selected diesel cars.
