Volkswagen Polo and Vento Matte edition launched
Volkswagen India has launched three new limited Matte editions in their lineup — a Polo GT priced at Rs 9.99 lakh along with the top two variants in the Vento lineup, the Highline AT at Rs 11.94 lakh and Highline Plus AT at Rs 13.34 lakh. The mechanicals and internals on the cars remain the same as the standard variant.
What’s new in the limited Matte edition is the exclusive Carbon Steel Grey Matte finish, and to top it off the ORVM and door handles now come in a glossy black finish. The matte finish gives it an even cleaner and sportier look. Other than this the car remains cosmetically unchanged.
The powertrain on both the vehicles remain the same as the ones found on the standard variants — the beloved 1-litre TSI engine shared by both the Polo GT and the Vento line of cars. The engine produces 108.6bhp at 5000-5500rpm and 175Nm at 1750-4000rpm. Considering that the Polo GT gets only an automatic transmission, the Matte edition gets the same six-speed AT. The Vento Matte edition on the other hand will only be offered on the automatic variants. As with the engine and chassis, the Matte edition is restricted only to a new paint job, meaning the interiors, features and everything else remains unchanged as well.

The limited Matte edition of the Polo GT is priced the same as the current model at Rs 9.99 lakh. The limited Matte edition Vento is priced at Rs 11.94 lakh and Rs 13.34 lakh for Highline AT and Highline Plus AT respectively which command a premium of Rs 15,000 over the offer price.
