Mini John Cooper Works Countryman All4 arrives in India with prices starting from ₹64.90 lakh

Mini India launches their John Cooper Works Countryman All4 at a starting price of ₹64.90 lakh. It gives the practical crossover from Mini a sporty and aggressive makeover with racing inspired red accents, reprofiled bumpers with a unique front grille, special JCW badging and JCW specific wheels. Mini JCW Countryman All4 exterior and interior design

The John Cooper Works treatment brings a more motorsports driven aesthetic with red accent colour and gloss black details. It also gets a revised front bumper with bigger air curtains and a blacked out grille with Mini’s chequered-flag motif with an understated JCW badge. In profile, the Countryman now sits on JCW specific alloy wheels available in either 19-inch or 20-inch with a 245mm section width for the tyres. The C-pillar also gets a JCW and All4 badge that sets this model apart from the standard model. Out back, the tailgate gets a blacked out Mini badge, gloss black Countryman lettering and a JCW badge. You’ll also find the new gloss black diffuser-like rear bumper enclosing the quad-exhaust tips.

The JCW theme continues on the inside with black leather-suede upholstery and contrast red stitching with textured fabric on the dashboard with a unique pattern in red colour. It also gets special JCW seats with embroidered seatbacks. As for screens, Mini’s circular 9.4-inch OLED central screen doubles up as the instrument cluster and infotainment system with JCW-spec graphics. It also gets a sportier set of pedals in the footwell.

It has a valved exhaust system with quad-tailpipes out back, as well as a boost button that amplifies the exhaust note and pipes in additional racing inspired engine sounds through the speakers. There’s also Level 2 ADAS on offer that brings features like semi-autonomous driving up to speeds of 60kmph. It also gets 12 ultrasonic sensors and 4 surround view cameras.

Mini JCW Countryman All4 powertrain and drivetrain

This Countryman carries over its 2-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that has uprated internals such as pistons, connecting rods, dethrottled air intake and engine mounts, changes that aid extracting maximum performance from the powertrain. The JCW Countryman churns out 296bhp and 400Nm of torque. It sprints from 0 to 100kmph in a claimed 5.4 seconds and it has a top speed of 250kmph. As for its drivetrain, there’s a 7-speed DCT gearbox that also brings AWD.

The Mini John Cooper Works Countryman All4 has been priced at ₹64.90 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price this JCW stands unrivaled in the performance it brings to the segment that has options such as BMW X1, Audi Q3 and Mercedes GLA. It will be sold as a CBU, and only a few units will be available.
