TVS NTorq 125 long term report

Alameen Merchant

I had been long contemplating a replacement to my five-year old Yamaha Ray-Z. The Aprilia SR 150 was on top of my shopping list. However, one fine afternoon the Ed handed me the keys to the TVS NTorq 125 and now I feel that this is just the scooter I always needed! It is quick and that is something very important for me, as I love zipping through traffic. It might not win a traffic light drag race but has enough grunt to keep me grinning. And while I am at it, the exhaust note confuses people with its motorcycle-like soundtrack .

Being new to Pune city, I’m not well acquainted with the roads, especially the Peth areas and this is where the SmartXonnect helps me save time. In fact, I have started carrying my old Android phone in addition to my iPhone (unfortunately, the system doesn’t support iOS) to utilise the navigation feature. And finally, the large underseat storage and footboard takes care of my camera equipment. What more can I ask for? I’ve clocked enough kilometres on the odo already and the TVS NTorq is due for service. I hope TVS returns it soon though as I’ve already fallen for it. Who needs the SR?
