Day 2 of the Hyundai Venue Great India Drive saw us make our way to Siliguri from our overnight stop of Berhampore. Although the distance was a mere 350 odd kilometers, it took us a good ten plus hours of driving. A mix of dual lane highways and back roads, the route turned out to be a real test for the Venue. The roads, although smooth for the most part, contained huge crater like potholes that proved to be a challenge - especially so at highway speeds. The Venue's sharp brakes came to the rescue and we could avoid even the ones that were particularly difficult to spot. Inevitably though, we did crash in to a couple of them. The Venue's suspension held up very well and even the harshest of bumps didnt feel all that bad in the cabin.

We took a slight detour and found ourselves within touching distance of the India-Bangladesh border. A group of kids were playing a game of football right beside the border and we joined in.

Unable to keep up with the quick footed kids, we soon retired.

Continuing onwards on our way to Siliguri, we drove through some twisty sections where the Venue's handling shone through.

As we make our way onwards to Guwahati, the roads are certain to get even better and the views even more stunning.

We hope to meet a lot of football aficionados on the way and have some thrill of driving as well. The Venue has proven to be just perfect for a roadtrip like this and I am sure it will continue to impress.
