Volkswagen resumes business with all the safety protocols under its special VWellness programme

Under its VWellness programme, Volkswagen’s retail and service facilities across the country will be regularly sanitized and equipped with mask and gloves along with proper guidelines on social distancing practices

Volkswagen India introduced a new wellness programme that has a frame of safety guidelines to be followed strictly at all retail and service facilities. Under this programme, all Volkswagen touchpoints across the country will follow new guidelines for improved health, hygiene and sanitisation standards. The new steps are being taken as Volswagen resumes business with the announcement of Unlock 1.0 initiative and is prioritizing to ensure the safety of its employees and customers along with safeguarding dealer partners as well. Volkswagen India claims to use these programmes to re-build customer confidence and provide peace of mind to the customer while visiting a Volkswagen dealership and workshop.

Volkswagen dealerships and workshops under the guidelines of this programme now provide free ten-point checkup which also includes free pick up and drop of cars. It also will be providing various offers on purchase of tires, batteries or services like AC disinfectant and germ clean treatment for the safety of customers. Even during the lockdown, Volkswagen and its partners continued providing onsite service to customers through its VW Assistance cars and responded to emergencies by fixing breakdowns for customers.

As a brand, Volkswagen is committed to adhering to all safety protocols that are under the VWellness programme. Now, customers can avail the newly introduced anti-microbial treatment and Ozone vehicle disinfectant system to maintain the hygiene of the car, keep its interiors 99.9 per cent germ-free and sanitize it to safeguard themselves and their loved ones.

Speaking about resuming business under the VWellness programme, Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, “With the announced ‘Unlock 1.0’ initiative, we have resumed business in a staged approach while adhering to local regulations. The health of our employees, dealer partners and customers is of utmost priority. All the necessary safety and sanitization measures are being undertaken across our network to rebuild customer confidence in entering our facilities.”

Volkswagen has integrated its 137 sales and 116 service touchpoints to provide simple and hassle-free end-to-end contactless retail experience to customers. As a token of gratitude is offering a three-month EMI holiday plan and is also charging interest as low as 8 per cent on BS6 versions of Polo and Vento. Volkswagen also claims that the customers have given a positive response after the launch of digital retail platform with online enquires coming in great numbers.
