evo India meet-up
Last month, we caught up with fans of evo India for our first ever meet-up! Enthusiasts from Mumbai, Pune, even as far as Ahmedabad tuned up in massive numbers to spend an afternoon with the team and talk cars. With experiential rides in two AMGs, contests, and a lot more, this was an incredible day out with like-minded enthusiasts!

But they aren’t always the nicest. We drive the coastal road from Mumbai to Goa, a road that has been largely ignored since the G-Quad has come up — a fitting start to our new series on Great Driving Roads in India.
MG ZS EV World Environment Day Road trip
The MG ZS EV now has more range, and we’ve taken it on a road trip to Chorla ghat and the Mhadei wildlife sanctuary. Tucked away in some of the densest parts of the western ghats, these forests are home to plenty of mammals, birds, insects and plants — it is after all one of the 36 biodiversity hotspots in the world! Taking an EV here is appropriate. It is silent and with zero tailpipe emissions, the MG ZS EV leaves the ecology here absolutely untouched and is the perfect car for a road trip.
Nissan Magnite Roadtrip
We go hunting for the Big, the Bold and the Beautiful in the Nissan Magnite through south India! A drive to the scenic Nandi hills kicks things off, followed by an exploratory off-roading session through the coffee estates of Kerala and checking out the gentle giants of the Dubare elephant camp.
Trans Arunachal drive
An adventure of a lifetime to Arunachal Pradesh! We take the Mahindra Thar, XUV700 and Scorpio to the near virgin state for 12 whole days, immersing ourselves in the food, culture and the vistas that it has to offer. And yes, there was plenty of off-roading on offer too!
Kia Carens to Goa
The Kia Carens is the long-distance car, and is the go-to car for road trips in the evo India fleet! We recently drove it to Goa with six people and their luggage (and camera equipment) on board, and it proved to be a comfortable, capable mile muncher. A punchy, efficient engine, well-sorted suspension and plenty of tech to keep passengers comfortable on the inside, it ensured we travelled in comfort and were well rested for a long week of shooting in Goa!
Triumph Tiger 1200
The Triumph Tiger 1200 gets a complete overhaul, and has its eyes set on the BMW R 1250 GS and Harley-Davidson Pan America! It gets a new platform, new engine and heavily updated design and features. It also comes in road-biased and an off-road biased variants — we ride the GT Pro and Rally Pro variants in the Himalayas to test its mettle.
Suzuki V-Strom SX
We finally get our hands on Suzuki’s ADV based on the Gixxer 250 platform. A lot has remained the same including the engine, gearing, suspension and even the main frame. There are a few tweaks to the swingarm and big changes to the ergonomics and styling, that give this motorcycle the ADV tag. Is it a bike that’s worth looking at in the sea of entry level ADVs?
Yamaha MT-15 V2.0 road review
The Yamaha MT-15 V2.0 gets an update with revised chassis components including USD forks and an aluminium swingarm, along with fresh paint schemes. With an engine and chassis shared with the R15, the MT-15 V2.0 promises thrills, but does so at a price!
TVS Race training experience
The Young Media Racer Programme is back and this time around, our boy Mandar is suiting up in his leathers. At the MMRT, he took part in TVS Racing’s race training programme under the guidance of experienced factory racers, and then took part in the qualifying session for the season.
