BSA Thunderbolt at EICMA 2025

Reviving an iconic nameplate from its golden era, BSA has revealed the Thunderbolt Concept at EICMA 2025 – marking its official entry into the adventure motorcycle space. Designed in collaboration with KISKA, the Thunderbolt blends BSA’s timeless character with contemporary ADV form, signalling a bold new chapter for the reborn British marque.

The BSA Thunderbolt Concept draws its foundation from the Yezdi Adventure but flaunts a more sophisticated spec sheet and premium feel. At its heart lies a 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine generating 29.16 bhp at 8000 rpm and 29.56 Nm of torque at 5800 rpm. It features a 41mm USD fork with 200mm travel, a preload-adjustable rear monoshock with 180mm travel, and rolls on a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front disc with a radial caliper and a 240mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS with three selectable modes. The ADV also packs modern touches like a TFT display, a comfortable 815mm seat height, and a manageable dry weight of 185 kg.

The BSA Thunderbolt, if and when launched, will go up against the likes of the Suzuki V-Storm 250, TVS Apache RTX 300 and the KTM 250 Adventure. BSA has not yet announced when the bike will launch in India, but they have stated that it will be available globally by mid-2026, with a potential release in our market soon after.
