Hero Glamour X is launched in India at a starting price of ₹89,999 (ex-showroom). There are two variants to choose from — the base model with drum brakes and the top model with front disc brake. It is the most affordable and segment’s first bike to be equipped with gear like cruise control, ride-by-wire throttle. Another first is the fact that it gets a kickstarter despite having a ride-by-wire system. Let’s take a peek at everything that this new bike offers!

Hero Glamour X design

The front of the bike features ‘H’ shaped full LED headlights and taillights. It is worth noting that the base model gets a halogen lighting setup for front and rear lighting. There’s a longer pillion seat cushion with a restructured bolstering with a wider grab rail at the rear. It also gets black 18-inch alloy wheels.

Hero Glamour X equipment and features

There’s a multicolour instrument cluster that brings Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, distance to empty, gear position indicator as well as auto brightness adjustment. It also has an enclosed underseat storage that can securely hold two smartphones, tool kit and first-aid kit along with a 2A Type C port with fast-charging support. Additionally, it is equipped with class-leading equipment like cruise control, ride-by-wire throttle and panic brake alert via the indicator blinkers. Hero MotoCorp has also bundled it with a self-starter and a kickstarter as well as a new switchgear with the addition of a hazard light switch.

Hero Glamour X engine and chassis

The Glamour X is powered by a 124.7cc air-cooled engine that produces 11.4bhp at 8250rpm and 10.5Nm at 6500rpm. In order to achieve optimal NVH levels for a comfortable ride, it gets a silent cam chain and balancer shaft. There are three ride modes on offer — Eco, Road and Power mode. As for suspension, the front gets a telescopic fork and the rear has a hydraulic shock absorber with 5-step adjustment. The bike has 170mm of ground clearance and the seat height is set at 790mm. The kerb weight of the base model is 125.5kg and the top model weighs 127kg.
