Hyundai Exter S Smart and SX Smart variants announced from ₹7.68 lakh onwards

Hyundai Motor India Limited announced the arrival of two new Exter variants – S Smart and SX Smart. Both S Smart and SX Smart variants will get five-speed manual and AMT gearboxes, which will also be offered in petrol as well as CNG powertrains. The new variants are aimed at offering Indian customers a varied choice of advanced technological and convenience features at an attractive price point.

Exter S Smart and SX Smart: Styling

The styling of the newly revealed variants largely remains unchanged from the outgoing model. These new variants come equipped with LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), LED tail lamps and 15-inch styled steel wheels. The SX Smart will get a Shark fin antenna as opposed to the standard antenna on the S Smart.

Exter S Smart and SX Smart: Safety and Convenience

Hyundai is proud to share that the child seat anchor – ISOFIX will be part of standard equipment across the Exter range, thus providing comprehensive and enveloping safety for all the occupants. Furthermore, these variants will also sport a Smart Electric sunroof, rear AC vents, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Again, the SX Smart variant will get exclusive features such as Smart key with push button start and a Projector head lamp setup.

Additionally, both the variants will be offered with an optional 9-inch infotainment system capable of wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, paired with a rear camera – as a genuine accessory at ₹14,999 along with a three-year warranty.

Exter S Smart and SX Smart: Engine, transmission and pricing

Both S Smart and SX Smart variants will get five-speed manual and AMT gearboxes, which will also be offered in petrol as well as with CNG powertrains. The 1.2-litre nat-asp petrol mill makes 82bhp and 114Nm, but on CNG it churns out 68bhp and 95Nm. Hyundai claims that it will return 19.2 kmpl and 27.1 km/kg for the petrol and CNG derivatives, respectively.
